Waiver may be translated as "Abandono" but what about P.E.? What does it mean?

P.E = Physical Education = Educación Física

waiver en este caso no es abandono, sino que tiene justificada la ausencia

al menos en México, para no tomar educación física, llevas un "justificante" (¡oh aquellos tiempos de decir que estabas "insdispuesta por causas femeninas...!")

supongo que esto está escrito explicando la razón por la que no hay calificación y debe ser cortito...
