Podrías decir "modelo a escala/maqueta", pero creo que lo de diorama es correcto.

Lo que conozco es el mismo término con pronunciación en español. Es una representación con figuras en un fondo pintado o algo así para dar la apariencia de un cuadro tridimencional. Es como mostrar una escena a través de una ventana o apertura a la que le puedes cambiar el nivel de iluminación para lograr efectos del día, la noche o de cambios de tiempo.
