El verbo correcto en inglés es "ENACT". En sicología, significa "actuar, expresar" (sentimientos, rasgos o trastornos de personalidad, por ejemplo). Creo que por ahí va la cosa.

Entiendo que están hablando de alumnos aproblemados y frustrados con el lenguaje de las distintas disciplinas.

Mi versión, un poco libre, para que la idea quede clara en castellano:
