SAT
If you took your SAT prior to 1996, your scores can be recentered. Basically this means that recentered scores usually are higher than those reported to you by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).

Explanation:
In 1995 the College Board added points to the way the SAT were computed. I don't know if there's a translation without an explanation, depending on the translation usage.
See the site below for an explanation. Many others are available. En la práctica la anotación de los exámenes hizo posible que estudiantes "subieran" sus promedios y que muchos tuvieran un puntaje casi perfecto.
