Así se le denominaba en mis tiempos -casi en el Paleoceno- en las escuelas en las que había un director para la primaria, otro para la enseñanza media básica y otro para la enseñanza media superior. De ella formaban también parte los dueños y los supervisores.

La Junata de Síndicos de la Universidad de Puerto RIco es una entidad oficial en mi país. Aparece su nombre en los diplomas. Siendo Puerto Rico un país que incluye el inglés como segundo idioma oificial, los diplomas en inglés, escritos en ese idioma a petición del estudiante, dicen Board of Trustees. El Diccionario Harper-Collins también ofrece "regentes" como sustituto de trustee. Espero haberte ayudado.
