En una lista de profesiones, se distingue entre:
University professor agricultural subjects ...
University lecturer agricultural subjects...
University reader agricultural subjects

De cada uno dan una clasificación de diferentes asignaturas. No sé si tenemos esta gradación en español.. aquí que yo sepa decimos profesor de universidad para todo pero no sé.. AYUDA!

Explanation:
Te pedía que aclararas si EE.UU. o Reino Unido porque es sumamente importante.
reader (RU) = associate professor (EE.UU)= profesor auxiliar
professor (RU)= full professor (EE.UU.)=profesor titular

teacher- no conozco que corresponda a ninguna categoría docente en específico. Es, simplemente, alguien que da clases.

Ahora bien, es sólo algo que pongo a la consideración de los colegas que conocen, desde dentro, las instituciones universitarias de esas dos naciones. Pudiera estar errada...y hasta con "h" :^)

lecturer (RU)=assistant professor (EE.UU.) = profesor asistente
