English to Spanish translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Education / Pedagogy
English term or phrase:PAL
Student transcript from Nova Scotia, Canada to revalidate studies in Mexico. The other subjects are Canadian history, career and life mgt, computer programming, English, global geography, precalculus, visual art, then this PAL shows up. Any ideas? Especially those of you familiar with the Canadian ed. system?

This was not actually the answer that I used, as the client later informed me that it was a physical education class (??) and then I found that the school has 3 "levels" of phys ed, and this was one. It would be useful to then provide additional information on the grade level as PAL appears to relate to K-12 as far as I can see, but I could be wrong. I swayed from this one and kept looking and turned up 2 additional possibilities, but I will wait
Hola Marsha: I found that reference as well to Partnership Approach to Literacy which is a non profit tutoring model for school age students (K-12). It is developed through community and school working together to provide one on one support for school students who struggle with reading.
That makes sense, because it does seem like it is some kind of program like that. I can work up a translation later, but I appreciate this suggestion. Why don't you send it as an answer so that I can select it if it's the one I use at the end. Even without the translation, it's a big help.
PAL could stand for "Partnership Approach to Literacy" which is a Canadian educational program. How to translate it, is of course another story.....
