La enseñanza mediante el método de inmersión total es exitoso porque provee insumo comprensible
Explanation:
a teaching method, usually called total immersion, wherein students are taught only in target language

TOTAL IMMERSION: a teaching method wherein students are taught only in the target language and is usually intensive in nature

En español se le dice "Inmersión total"

Language immersion is a way of learning a second language (L2). In-class activities and those outside of the class are often in the target language. Immersion programs that are known today began in the 1960s in Canada when middle-income English-speaking parents convinced educators to establish an experimental French immersion program enabling their children 'to appreciate the traditions and culture of French-speaking Canadians as well as English-speaking Canadians' (Baker, 1993).

Educators distinguish between language immersion programs and submersion. In the former, the class is composed of students learning the L2 at the same level; while in the latter, one or two students are learning the foreign language, which is the first language (L1) for the rest of the class, thus they are "thrown into the ocean to learn how to swim" instead of gradually immersed in the new language.

agree  Claudia Pesce: It just so happens I work at Berlitz, and it´s exactly as Carmen puts it. In the "Total Immersion" course, the students take classes from 9 to 6, only speaking the target language. I´ve actually taught these courses!
