It's one of the fourth periods of the school year in the United States. The translation is for the United States so I'm not too sure 'Bimestre' would be the best translation. What do you think?

Explanation:
I'd do it this way to be safe since different school systems have different time periods for grading each "quarter"....This option will cover it no matter how you look at it.

neutral  Claudia Hoepelman: I may be wrong but this would be=1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grading period.

  -> Hi. Within the school systems, the teachers and students refer to the first grading period as the 1st quarter, the 2nd grading period is the 2nd quarter, and so on.... Just a thought anyway...

También prefiero "trimestre" aunque sean menos de tres meses, pero si realmente no puede ser, allí va una idea. También "cursillo" podría servir.
