The assessments reported in the grade book and on report cards would be aligned to those standards.
Our district will be implementing a true standards-based system for students in preschool, elementary, and middle school in the fall of 2009 and for the high school students in the fall of 2010 when the new high school opens.

Me parece que se refiere a la libreta o cuaderno de concentración (de calificaciones), que es el registro que llevan los profesores de todas las calificaciones de los alumnos durante todo el año y es donde se basan para sacar los promedios mensuales y anuales. Según recuerdo de mis épocas de maestra de primaria y secundaria. Porque hasta donde sé, la libreta de calificaciones es el "report card", que es lo que se entrega mensualmente a los alumnos para que sus papás la firmen.
