Cuts
Handbook: Attendance: Cuts
A cut is an unexcused absence from any scheduled activity on a student's schedule. Students will be issued a class cut if they miss 10 or more minutes of any class. This includes activities missed because of unexcused partial absences. After the first cut from a class a letter will be sent home notifying the parent. Cuts shall be dealt with as specified in the "Statement of Student Conduct Guidelines" (Appendix E). Accumulation of cuts may result in a reduction in a student's grade and/or loss of credit. Continued class cutting may result in the student being removed from the class with an F.
Cuts from One Course
Upon the second cut in any one course, a student's grade will be reduced one letter grade.
