Explanation:
El término "khan" se refiere al título o dignidad que tenían los emperadores del Imperio mongol: Genghis Khan, Khubilai Khan, etc.
La traducción anterior, "rey absoluto", también está correcta. Es obviamente con intención figurativa. Los monarcas mongoles eran muy absolutistas, "amos y señores" de la vida de sus súbditos. Espero te haya servido esta explicación.
