Tal vez ese documento te sirva, pero concuerdo con Juan Jacob en que es necesario saber para qué país necesitas el equivalente.

En Chile, por ejemplo, lo más cercano a un "School Board" estadounidense sería un Seremi regional de Educación.

Aclaro que parto de la base que la decisión sobre cambiar o no el nombre de una escuela no la toma la propia escuela, sino una entidad supervisora más global... el "School Board" que mencionas se refiere a esa institución.
