Estoy traduciendo una boleta de calificaciones de 2do grado del condado de Oconee en los EEUU. Los aspectos que se evalúan en lenguaje, son:

"Clearly expresses ideas in writing
Applies spelling rules in context
Applies grammar, mechanics in context
Applies penmanship skills"

Pensé que quizás la coma estaba de más, pero buscando en internet, encontré que se trata de aspectos separados que junto con la ortografía y la caligrafía son importantes en "language arts".
