English term or phrase: NGA
Estoy traduciendo unas notas de bachillerato de Houston y aparecen estas siglas:

"Coursework completion:
Rank (**NGA**): 18
Date of graduation:
Class size: 199
Grad. Program Type: REC YR ENT HS: 07
GPA: 3.929
**NGA**: 94.5714"

Pareciera una especie de promedio que se saca con base en las notas obtenidas en la escala de 100 puntos, pero no tengo ni idea qué representan las siglas, ni cómo se traducen. Muchas gracias por adelantado.

Hi Yvonne.

I find this phrase alongside NGA in a number of academic web sites. Maybe it fits in your translation -- I'm not sure, because this is not an acronym I've seen before and I don't think it's common.

Saludos :)

"Numerical Grade Average" is it, I think:

"Numerical grade average (NGA)" means the grade average earned by an eligible student in courses prescribed by the Commonwealth merit scholarship curriculum. By administrative regulation, the council shall establish a uniform numerical grading scale by which this grade average shall be calculated, and this scale shall be based on a highest grade of one hundred (100) points.

NGA

Explanation:
National Governors Association (NGA) ranking, this is the name of it, I would not translate the acronym, though you could add a note, if possible, explaining that it is a ranking by the Asociación Nacional de Gobernadores (National Governors Association, NGA) de EE.UU.

Se trata de una escala, clasificación o puntaje (Rank) del NGA. En otras palabras, traduces "rank" y lo atribuyes al NGA. Por ejemplo:

Puntaje según la escala del NGA
