De acuerdo con Darío, pero opino que no hay por qué ser literal sino establecer una clasificación, la cual resulta ser que esos estudiantes no utilizan el transporte escolar y los demás sí. Esos son los dos grupos.
Hola Cecilia. Una aclaración con respecto a tu comentario. No estamos diciendo que los estudiantes van a ir a pie o caminando a la escuela. Lo que estamos mencionando aquí es que la escuela clasificará a los alumnos que dispongan de transporte propio en la categoría de "estudiantes a pie/peatones". Supongo que será para diferenciar a los alumnos en grupos y así establecer un orden. Saludos.

El texto habla de "students providing own transportation", estos estudiantes serán clasificados como "walking students", aunque a mi entender quienes se procuren el transporte por sus propios medios no necesariamente lo harán a pie. De aquí mi duda.... ¡Gracias!
