English to Spanish translations [PRO] Art/Literary - Education / Pedagogy | | English term or phrase: education: some abbreviations and definitions | I am translating some reports and transfer forms issued by Norfolk County Council and others by Hewett School (UK) and I need help with abbreviations and terms:
Can you assist me by telling me what the abbreviations stand for and by giving a little explanation in English of the meaning of the other terms. THANKS.
I.T.: maybe information technology (it is the name of a subject)
P.E.: maybe physical education (subject)
R.S.: maybe religious studies (subject)
10P: maybe 10 year pupil (this word is preceded by the name of the pupil who was at that time at 10 Year
KS3 SATs: Key Stage 3 ....(it is saying that the pupil has been assessed by his teachers as having reached certain levels at the end of Key Stage 3
CS/:LME: (it appears as ref. in a letter for the purpose of confirmation of completion of 10 Year by the pupil)
CAT: maybe Cognitive Abilities Test
NFER: ( context: “I enclose a print out of his academic performance in all subject areas, his CAT AND FNER reading score)
UPN: (it is a number which appears in the transfer (from one school to another) form together with the name and personal data of the pupil)
Estab. Code: maybe code of the establishment ( of the transferring school)
LEA code: maybe Local Education Authority ( of the transferring school)
SEN stage ( and you have to mark with a cross one of the following options: N/A 1 2 3 4 5)
