English term or phrase: teacher (referring to both grade school & high school)
I am working on a consent form that will be given to parents of both grade schoolers and high schoolers in various countries in Latin America, and it frequently mentions teachers throughout. According to the usage I've always heard, "maestros" are grade school teachers, while "profesores" are high school teachers. Would it be too strange to use both terms together, or would it be acceptable to use one or the other for both age groups?

E.g.: "your child's teacher ... requested to use the program."

Thanks in advance!

Example sentence(s):
  • El profesor de su hijo
