Explanation:
A false smile appears stronger on one side of the face than the other. The part of the cerebral cortex that specializes in facial expressions is found in the right hemisphere of the brain and sends signals primarily to the left side of the body. As a result, false facial emotions are more pronounced on the left side of the face than on the right. In an authentic smile, both hemispheres instruct both sides of the face so the smile is symmetrical.
