English term or phrase:performing (type unknown, whether singing, playing, acting, etc.)
Context: "Arts, Communications, Humanities & Music Career High School Academy
(producing, performing, publishing, design communications, journalism, broadcasting)"
If I say "representaciones de artes escénicas," would that cover any type of performance? Or what would be the best way to say it, when you don't know if the person is playing an instrument, acting a part, singing, reading, pantomiming, etc.?
Explanation: "artes escénicas" includes everything: singing, acting, dancing...
representación is more like business, commercial representation. "Presentación" is closer to your idea.

I need to say it accurately in Spanish. This is how I had tentatively translated it so far: (producción, actuación/interpretaciones/representaciones...?, publicidad, diseño de comunicaciones, periodismo, transmisión de radio o tv). As for the glossary entries and discussions, and other places where I looked, I wasn't convinced. I'm not a native Spanish speaker, and that's why I posted the question, because a native understands the nuances of the different words and what would be most inclusive.
Explanation: Según la RAE INTERPRETAR es tanto Representar una obra teatral, cinematográfica, etc. como
Ejecutar una pieza musical mediante canto o instrumentos. o también: Ejecutar un baile con propósito artístico y siguiendo pautas coreográficas.
Entonces abarcaría todo lo anterior. Una opción :)
