Hola,

estoy traducciendo un título académico y me salen los términos "Charter and Statute". Ambos significan "estatutos" pero no sé si debería poner dos términos como en inglés o simplemente con poner Estatutos sería suficiente. Muchas gracias!

Ojo:

En España, el \"Senate\" de una Universidad no es el Senado, sino el equivalente al Rectorado.

Charter y Statutes se refieren en definitiva a los Estatutos de la Sociedad. Digamos que es un doblete evitable en español.

Según el diccionario Vox, en español el "charter" de una universidad es "estatutos" dado que los dos significan lo mismo, creo que basta con poner sólo estatutos.

No estoy tan convencido que sean la misma cosa. Ver OED: "Charter is a written grant by a sovereign or legislature by which a body such as a university is created or its rights and privileges defined." Mientras que "statutes" se definen como "rules of an organiztion or institution" En otras palabras, los Estatutos normalmente son definidos por la entidad en cuestión, mientras que la Carta orgánica es conferida por una entidad superior.
