This is a term used by the Gang members to express their unity. I'm translating an educational PP Presentation for a school district in California. Please help!

To kellyn. Thanks. Must say: as far as I understand hardcore, it means "denso, fuerte, duro, profundo", nothing to do with some kind of gang, or Salva Trucha, as you say. Anyway, I still think not to translate it for California. We say: "jarcor".
la mara salvatrucha, many of whom's members are recent arrivals. Nonetheless, I agree with Juan Jacob that in THIS case, "hardcore" can stay in English. Just let the parents know it means something like "metido en la pandilla hasta la muerte"
I disagree with Lingual, or at least believe that Lingual's info is incomplete. There are plenty of Latino gang-bangers for whom English is a first language. However, their speech is still heavily peppered with Spanish. Also, what about 'la mara salvat

Explanation: This literally means "auction" but is a slang term used in the United States to mean totally into something - as in "all the way". It's the closest thing I can think of to what you are trying to say. Since I assume you are talking about what someone on the street might use, this may work for you. Hope it helps!
