Según lo que encontré en Internet la frase es slang de los 20's y quiere decir "lo máximo", "lo mejor". Pienso que para que se entendiera podría sustituirse con alguna frase en español como las que sugiero arriba.

Explanation:
Eres.... There are so many expressions that could say the same thing. I've just given a few suggestions. (Personally, since we're talking about a child, I would use my second option: Eres de lo que no hay.
