English term or phrase: ...fellow...
Prof. Roger Sperry describes himself as a Biology research fellow... what is the best Spanish translation for fellow? I think I know the sense of this but is there a wide spreaded latin american Spanish for FELLOW? Lots of thanks from Medellín.

Explanation:
I know I am a bit late, and you already awarded points to an answer, but I thought you should know.
In the particular case of a university researcher, the term in Spanish is normally "Becario"
You can find endless examples of "Becario" used in this context on the Web.
