...This is the fourth year that our entire school has benefited from the Make Your Day Citizenship program. Research has proven the effectiveness of whole school reforms and the importance of positive classroom behavior for enhancing student learning. Considering the high district and state standards for student achievement, this program sets clear and consistent behavior expectations, relies on consequences rather than punishment, and on points earned rather than points lost. It uses progressive consequences for inappropriate behavior, and provides the opportunity in a controlled setting for a child to express a concern about how he/she has been treated by another student. Schools that use the program have found that with Make Your Day, children take responsibility for their behavior, learn communication skills, and make better choices about their behavior.

Yo no traduciría el nombre de este programa por muchas razones. Primero, el que lo lea en castellano tiene que poder comprender de qué estás hablando, sin lugar a dudas. Si buscas un equivalente traducido, puede que se enteren o puede que se confundan. Yo solo traduzco nombres de programas asi, si son sumamente obvios, como "Good behavior Day", "Bring your daughter to work day". Estos dos ejemplos, al traducirlos, se entienden sin problemas.
Es mi opinión, no sé que te dirán otros colegas.

He hecho muchas traducciones para organizaciones sin fines de lucro que tienen programas educativos y recreativos para niños, en la ciudad en donde vivo, donde existe un gran porcentaje de Hispanos, y es asi como traduzco estas cosas. |
