| English term or phrase: ground foot | Esta expresión aparece en un manual de mantenimiento de vehículos proveniente de la China que fue traducido al inglés por alguien que no domina el idioma y que estoy traduciendo con un grupo de colegas.
En la sección correspondiente al sistema de seguro antirrobos, dice:
"Maintenance workshop (solutions to vehicle in workshop)
Note: If the service staff suspect that failures are caused by immobilizer, follow the below examination solutions to prove it.
(1) Remove the immobilizer, check the power foot and **ground foot** is short-circuit or not. Change new immobilizer if short-circuited (go to step (3)), If not, go to step (2).
(2) Install the immobilizer on another properly-working vehicle and check if any failure occurs or not. If yes, it indicates something wrong with the Part III immobilizer (go to step (3)), if not, it indicates the immobilizer is fine (go to step (4).
(3).Change a new immobilizer and re-adjust to make sure it functions properly. If it works properly, failures are resolved (it shows immobilizer fails), if failures still exist, go on with step (4).
(4) Check the vehicle’s working environment: power, ground wire and K wire connection and voltage, W wire connection and voltage, LED condition and connection, plug and socket connection, electric interference of other electrical device, humidity and temperature etc."
No sé que son power foot y ground foot. Supongo que consultando uno, puedo deducir el otro. Foot puede significar pie, para; asiento, apoyo, base, pedestal; pedal, pero no tengo ni idea qué significa en este contexto.
