On Free Plan models
* To run the ventilator together with the indoor unit:
* Press the Start/Stop button .
* The Vent indication appears on the screen (at ). The ventilator will now automatically operate whenever the indoor unit is running.

* To run the ventilator only when the indoor unit is off:
* Press the Vent button while the indoor unit is off.
* The On lamp (at ) and the Vent indication (at ) come on.


* To change the ventilator force:
* Press the Vent button as necessary.
* Each press toggles the setting, as shown below.

* With some model configurations, the fan on the indoor unit may come on even when you set the ventilator to run independently.

Explanation:
Sé que en algunos paises al ventilador (fan) le dicen abanico. En España un abanico está hecho de tela o papel, es plegable, y se usa para abanicarse a mano, algo que no se ve en USA. Un ventilador es un aparato eléctrico para refrescarse con aire. Esta es la distinción que se me ocurre que hagas, llama a ventilator, sistema de ventilación, o aparato de ventilación.
