English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial / Thermal fluid heater operations manual
English term or phrase:only ever shutting down
Start up with cold oil
The set point temperature on the eluate temperature controller TIC 16.0 should be set to 20°C while the oil in the circuit heats up. This will make the 3-way control valve bypass all the oil around the heat exchanger, so the start-up time is minimised. Once the oil is up to temperature, then the set point temperature can be increased to the required process temperature (approximately 130°C).
Once the strip is finished, the set point temperature should again be reduced to 20°C. This will bypass all the oil around the heat exchanger. The oil temperature will be maintained, eliminating the need to perform a cold start-up each time. Keeping the oil warm also prolongs the life of the heaters. The oil pump should circulate oil at all times, with the system ****only ever shutting down ****if no strip will be performed for a long time, i.e. several days.
