Cuando hay tormentas solares, a nivel de la superficie terráquea cae una lluvia de rayos cósmicos, partículas de gran energía y toda la gama de la radiación. El ozono capta casi toda la radiación UV nosciva para el hombre. Si no hay suficiente ozono, durante una tormenta entonces mejor no vayas a solearte, es una ruleta rusa.
