disagree  Tomás Cano Binder, BA, CT: Hm... Aún así "scrubber" debió ser "lavador", no "depuradora", que crearía confusión. No, no es trabajo. ¡Es vicio por Kudoz! >Perdón compa. No me parece bien "depuradora" para "scrubber", porque un "scrubber" lava gases, no depura agua.

agua del scrubber


Explanation:
Scrubber es un equipo utilizado para poner en contacto en contracorriente un flujo ascendente de gases (en este caso de la combustión I.G. ) y un flujo descendente de agua (agua del scrubber).
Un scrubber es un reactor vertical de gran altura relleno de piezas chicas de cerámica o metal para ofrecer una gran superficie de contacto gas-agua.
"Scrubber" es la expresión que todo ingeniero químico de habla hispana utiliza técnicamente para evitar tener que utilizar la expresión de "Intercambiador de masa por difusión en contracorriente gas-líquido".
Hace años que se utiliza en forma práctica la expresión inglesa para referirse al equipo.
