English to Spanish translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Environment & Ecology / Beach Restoration project | | English term or phrase: armor/ armoring | Typical cross sections related to each of the phases of construction are presented in Appendix I. A simple estimate of required beach sand fill, core fill, and **armor rock** are summarized below. While no engineering calculations were performed to establish true **armoring** requirements, armor and cross sections typical of other installations (breakwater side slopes of 1V:1.5H and **armor** layer thickness of 2 m) in the area were used for estimating.
I've seen escollera used in the glossary, but am not sure if it is appropriate here. Any ideas much appreciated. |

| | enrocado | Explanation: Para "armor requirements" se podría decir "requisitos de enrocado". Por lo visto, "enrocado" es un término que se utiliza bastante también (muros de contención de enrocado, por ejemplo). |
