Quisiera saber si ese "black tie" se traduce por "formal" o "corbata" pq creo que lo de "corbata negra" suena fatal.
Se trata de una invitacion para una cena de gala en una institucion financiera. Gracias.

Es lo que se usa en Colombia. Contrasta con corbata blanca (frac) aunque ya no se usa. Una señora sabe qué ponerse cuando los hombres van de corbata negra: vestido largo o vestido corto muy, muy elegante.
