Bus/Financial - Finance (general)
English term or phrase: out-of-wallet authentication
I've hear someone saying "fuera de cartera", but I cannot even understand the real meaning of it. This subject deals with "in-wallet" and "out-of wallet" authentication processes (it's a company for Financial Solutions)

The best approach comes by applying both "in-wallet" verification and "out-of-wallet" authentication to the process.

Explanation:

Asker: that would cover "out of wallet" and "in wallet" I guess. Yes, I think it's a good option

verificación oficial y no-oficial

Explanation:
One possibility. (I thought at first you were referring to wallet cards (monederos) which are charged up by paying into them, rather like debit cards)
After seeing your good context I see it's simply referring to authentication using info you usually find in your everyday wallet (driver's licence, credit card etc.) - which a thief may have access to - and non-official authentication that only you can know (e.g. your cat's name), regardless of whether your wallet has been stolen or not (i.e. info which one cannot find in your wallet). Hope this helps.

Autenticación and verificación are both used in my experience with bank translations, particularly for identifying credit card holders (autenticación being a literal translation from the more common authentication in English).

validación (de identidad) mediante información privada ("out-of-wallet")

Explanation:
