English term or phrase: statement credit
Get $150 back after you spend $1,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. You will receive $150 back in the form of a statement credit.
If you accept the offer and make at least the required minimum of $1,000 purchases within the designated three month period, the card issuer will credit your account for $150 which will appear on your statement in the same section where any payments you made are listed. Most likely, that credit will not be considered a payment, however, so you would still be obligated to make a payment for at least the minimum amount due on or before the due date shown on the statement.
