El DRAE nada dice al respecto, pero se usa. A lo mejor es la causa de la confusión.

si no ha cambiado la gramática que yo estudié -- lo cual puede muy bien que haya sucedido, las palabras acabadas en "ú" (procedentes del francés) toman el plural irregular "úes":
