Forestry / Wood / Timber
English term or phrase: SPRINGPOLE
Hola:

Define:
"A springpole is any log, branch, rooted stump, or sapling that is bent under tension by other wood so that it springs back if the wood holding it is cut or removed "

agree  Richard Boulter: Yes, 'spring' in this case means that the pole or sapling will "spring-back" or "jump upright" when the other tree's weight is relieved from it.
