| English term or phrase: deciduous tropical hardwoods to mangrove swamp estuaries | A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Santa Rosa National park preserves the largest remaining tropical dry forest in Central America, as well as habitats ranging from deciduous tropical hardwoods to mangrove swamp estuaries. As part of the ACG (Area de Conservación Guanacaste), the Park protects 9,600 different kinds of butterflies and moths, 460 species of birds, and 115 species of mammals, including monkeys, wild pigs, and over 20 species of bat.
