I use "capturar" -> "capture/seize/securing" because in this particular case it's what the Baker Company was ordered to do to.

En español de España y en contextos bélicos se suele hablar de "ha recibido orden de".

secure puede tener el sentido de ocupar, tomar o el de defender, fortificar, pero en este caso el contexto nos demuestra que es el primero, porque una compañía americana recibe la orden de "secure" una posición alemana, así que no puede tratarse de defenderla y tiene que significar tomarla.
