Hay múltiples posibilidades y giros idiomáticos - allá van algunas.

Aparte de esto, dos observaciones:

1. "You'd" debería ser "We'd" ya que habla de "nosotros" (La India supongo)

2. Aunque arriba puse "estaríamos", aunque para alguna de las frases iría mejor "nos quedaríamos", p.ej. "nos quedaríamos sin salida"
