English term or phrase: you "axed" for it
Hi again. A character has been trying to use a saw to chop a fallen log into more manageable pieces, and after failing, he goes to get an axe. He then comes back to the log and says: 'Okay, you axed for it!'.

I think it's quite unlikely there's a way to preserve the pun in Spanish, but I'm asking just in case someone has a brilliant idea. TIA.

No tengo otro remedio que darte con el hacha

Explanation:
'dar con el hacha' means something like tear a strip off someone. Of course, here it's pretty literal, but it is an easily recognisable set phrase. Not an equivalent of your pun, of course.

¡Del hacha no te libras!

Explanation:
No me parece posible mantener el juego de palabras. El personaje podría decir una cosa natural como esta.
