Dentro de un estudio de una toxina generada por una bacteria envuelta en los procesos de la enfermedad periodontal, se han tomado unas muestras de placa subgingival. Las células bacteriales de estas muestras se han sometido a un proceso de preparación para su análisis genético. Ya entrados en este tema del análisis genético, encuentro el siguiente párrafo:

Oligonucleótidos inciadores

Explanation:
Son oligonucleótidos iniciadores, pero se pueden llamar primers. De hecho, muchas veces se utilizan ambos: "oligonucleótidos iniciadores (primers)".

PCR = polymerase chain reaction (reacción en cadena de la polimerasa)
