English to Spanish translations [PRO] Science - Geography / Geology | | English term or phrase: boulder | | Textbook for 6th graders in the US. "As a river runs down a mountainside, the moving water picks up sand, pebbles, and even boulders." I thought the translation was canto rodado, but I'm not sure anymore. Answers.com says the diameter of a boulder exceeds 256 mm. Wikipedia Spanish says grava has a diameter of 2mm to 6cm and that the diameter of a canto rodado ranges between 6 and 25 cm. |

Segun http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canto_rodado
