Roman general Gaius Julius Caesar described the wild aurochs living in the forests of Germany in 65 BPE.

¿Alguien sabe a qué hacen referencia estas siglas? ¿Puede ser "antes de la era pretoriana"?

Muchísimas gracias de antemano.

before present era

Explanation:
I found this which explains it:

Though I do not personally follow any particular dogmatic religious path, I use it as being the most familiar system to the bulk of Western readers, over more recent systems such as BCE {Before Christian Era}, BPE {Before Present Era}, or other religious or cultural dating systems, which might be both unfamiliar and difficult for the lay reader.

B.C.E.

Explanation:
B.C. - Abbreviation for the term Before Christ. Years are counted back from the traditionally recognized year of Christ's birth. In academic, historical, and archaeological circles, this term is now generally replaced by Before Common Era (B.C.E.).
The same source, the Archaeological Institute of America, gives BP as meaning 'before the present' and defines the present as 1950, the year the term was invented, but given the reference to Julius Caesar, this is probably not the year of reference of the source text.

A.N.E.

Explanation:
