Estoy traduciendo una novela histórica ambientada en la época medieval. Me aparece la palabra "mesnie" y he encontrado la siguiente definición:

"Loosely defined as a medieval household with a feudal lord. More narrowly, a group of knights (typically errants ) who travel closely and fight in tourney and war with a feudal lord, who is usually of high noble bearing."

Ésta es la frase en la que aparece el término en cuestión: "The other knights viewed him as a threat to their own position in the mesnie".

Soy incapaz de encontrar una traducción adecuada al español. ¿Alguna sugerencia?
