English to Spanish translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Idioms / Maxims / Sayings / United States | | English term or phrase: beat the pants off | In my quest to compile a thorough glossary of idioms with their translations into Spanish, I am basing, although not limiting, the meanings to those given by the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, or other lexicographic sources. Those idiomatic translations used in multiple countries are given preference over those with more limited usage. Please give the equivalent idioms to the following meaning, and specify countries of use, of "beat the pants off" as defined by the Oxford Dictionary of Idioms as follows:
"prove to be vastly superior to. informal."
