English term or phrase: sound in wind and limb
I have seen this is an expression used for horses. In the text I am translating, a novel, it is used as a metaphore to talk about the health and condition of the men hired to work for Drake. I had thought of "sanos y salvos", but I would appreciate a more 'colourful' expression!

Thanks.

agree  Richard Boulter: I like this because the Query term sounds nautical in origin, and this is also nautical. Also, it implies the ability of the subject to work hard, as does the source saying. Some of the other suggestions imply health without reference to working.

-> thanks, I also think it sounds nautical, like "wind".
