Explanation:
Dependiendo del contexto, yo diría remedio casero o truco casero. Para el ejemplo de las patatas serviría pero en otros ámbitos o contextos no.

Hay infinidad de páginas con remedios caseros: para la tos, para quitar manchas, etc.
