Nada, aquí, en mi rato libre (sí, sí, los tengo de vez en cuando), traduciendo una peli con una canción de Bob Marley que me parece importante incluir en los diálogos.
La canción es Burnin' and lootin' (Quemando y saqueando, si es que no ando tan mal).
Entiendo todo excepto esto:
"All that we got, it seems we have lost;
We must have really paid the cost."
la línea anterior se refiere a que todo lo que habíamos ganado (los derechos civiles, etc.) todo eso parece que lo hemos perdido.
... que cuesta ganarse nuestro sitio aquí en la tierra.
Soy fan de bob marley y mi marido es músico. las palabras que anteceden estos dos versos hablan que se despertó un día y está harto de los saqueos y del sufrimiento que ha sufrido su pueblo (I and I = me and my people).

Por supuesto, la primera opción es un intento de traducir la idea y crear una forma que la conserve, pero que además tenga rima(aprox.) y ritmo. La segunda sería la traducción literal (a mí no me gusta) :)
