Hoy en día, y sobre todo en informática, se utiliza y entiende también el anglicismo "ha sido licenciado". A mí también la traducción correcta me parece la de Yaiza, pero por comentar...

Al fin y al cabo significa que tienes licencia, bien sea para su uso, venta, modificación...
