Trabajé varios años como traductora "freelance" para el "Conference Dept." de la ONU y algo en lo que siempre insistían era que en español utilizáramos "Congreso" y no Conferencia. Espero te sirva. Saludos. Pampi

agree Manuel Cedeño Berrueta: Ahora que lo mencionas, en Venezuela también es más frecuente "congreso" que "conferencia"
